Source: Maine to Dakotas and Appalachians, Pennsylvania to West Virginia. Light reddish-brown with straight-grained, satiny patterns. Some small gum pockets are normal markings in it's characteristics. Cherry is light but strong and rather hard due to it's fine-grain.
Exceptionally stable Uses: Fine Furniture, woodworker and engravers blocks.
